Welcome to the Columbia River Gorge- the land where outdoor adventures abound! Located in Stevenson Washington (accross the Bridge of the Gods from Cascade Locks). Featuring: Native American Life, Heritage Quilts, Lewis and Clark, World's Largest Rosary Collection, Fishing the Columbia, Antique Cars and Trucks, Historic Logging Equipment, 1800's Working saw mill steam engine, 37' High working fish wheel, Picnic Grounds, Multi-media Theater, Historic River Transportation.
   
Bonneville Locks and Dam The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers operates and maintains Bonneville Lock and Dam for hydropower production, fish and wildlife protection, recreation and navigation. Since 1938, Bonneville Dam has supplied the region with inexpensive electrical power. Today, they work with other federal, state, local agencies and Native American Tribes to accomplish their mission. With one of the largest public viewing facilities in the Corps of Engineers, visitors have lots to see and learn at Bonneville Lock and Dam. Located at exit 40, 5 miles west of Cascade Locks.

SCENIC ROUTES / AREAS
Bridge of the Gods The Bridge of the Gods was completed in 1926 it is the third oldest bridge on the Columbia River. It is built in the exact location where a land bridge once stood as told in a Native American legend. The bridge is open to motor and foot trafic and crosses the Columbia River from Cascade Locks, OR to Stevenson, WA.

This 23 acre marine park and adjacent 3 acre island is on the National Register for Historic Places and is owned and operated by the Port of Cascade Locks. The park boasts three historic houses formerly lock tenders' homes, the Oregon Pony (the first steam engine operated in the west), a quaint museum, access to fishing on the Columbia River, picnic and pavilion area, a marina and a visitor's center. The marine park is also home to the "Columbia Gorge" Sternwheeler.

The Oregon National Historic Trail, designated by Congress in 1978, is administered by the National Park Service in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management, the Forest Service, state, and local governmental units, citizen organizations, and numerous private individuals whose property the trail crosses. Today the trail corridor contains some 300 miles of discernible ruts and 125 historic sites. An autoroute can be followed from Independence, Mo, to Oregon City, OR.
